Pinterest @ Cannes Lions - 2019

Back in 2017, Pinterest was remarkably popular with its users but needed to create a stronger dialogue with its advertisers.

At this time, Cannes Lions had forged official partnerships with Facebook and Snapchat helping them alter the future of how advertisers spend on media. Pinterest wanted in, but didn’t know how to break in at the biggest creative advertising Festival in the world.

We had two goals: Ensure the media industry saw Pinterest as important as their social media counterparts and create an experience and content that would exemplify their company and creative audience.

The how: We brokered a new relationship with the famed Carlton Hotel, giving Pinterest their can’t-miss space, one-upping their competitors. Then to make it unlike anything else - we partnered with the design agency One Rise East and Pinterest creators to build an immersive world for clients to live and learn inside the Pinterest world through thought-leadership and experience.

Seven years and running, Pinterest continues to build off this partnership showing advertisers and agencies the value of their creative users.
